XGIMI TITAN Noir Max: a 10,000:1 Native Contrast Beast

XGIMI has introduced the TITAN Noir Max, a new high-end 4K home cinema projector built around an RGB triple laser light engine and a strong focus on native contrast, brightness and installation flexibility.

The TITAN Noir Series is also launching soon on Kickstarter, with XGIMI already directing early supporters toward the upcoming campaign page.

The headline figure is brightness: XGIMI lists the TITAN Noir Max at 7000 ISO lumens, paired with 4K Ultra HD resolution and an RGB Triple Laser system. According to the company, the Max version uses a 50-laser-chip architecture and targets large-screen viewing even in brighter rooms.

New Texas Instruments SST Platform and MediaTek MT9681 SoC

Beyond the headline brightness number, one of the most important technical changes is the use of Texas Instruments’ new 0.47-inch SST DMD architecture. XGIMI presents this platform as a higher power-tolerance design with improved thermal behavior, aiming for more stable high-brightness operation over long viewing sessions.

The projector is also powered by the MediaTek MT9681 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This is a serious hardware platform for motion processing, smart features and gaming support, including VRR, ALLM and up to 1080p/240Hz playback.

A Projector Focused on Contrast

One of the most interesting parts of the TITAN Noir Max is the contrast system. XGIMI says the projector uses a Dual Intelligent Iris design to control light optically rather than relying only on laser dimming. The company also mentions Dynamic Black Level Enhancement, designed to improve dark scenes in real time while preserving shadow detail.

For home cinema users, the combination of high brightness, Dual iris, lens shift, optical zoom and lens memory makes the TITAN Noir Max look like a high end home cinema projector than the typical lifestyle model. The gaming specs are also notable.

As always, the real story will be image performance in actual viewing conditions. A full review is coming soon…
